"Elevation" series

Initially, NAJI Yanagida's intention was to create something akin to a thick poster. However, after receiving advice from team members who suggested to create more simple and impactful piece, he reconsidered and conceived a work that embodies the solidity of gadgets or soft vinyl figurines, or the robustness of blocks.

The use of heavy materials in the product contributed to a palpable sense of weight in the depicted worldview.
To further emphasize the hardness and weight of objects, he incorporated various elements into the paintings, including stones, tiles, steel stairs, architecture, tubes, and vehicles.

[CONCEPT]

A concept that brings together illustration and material objects. Think of things you can hold, touch, look at from different angles, and feel the difference in texture, which are impossible with matte paintings.
NAJI Yanagida creates products that lie somewhere between three-dimensional objects and two-dimensional works, with the robustness of stone monuments, rather than highly precise objects like handicraft.
